Oatlands School PTA

A big 'WELCOME' to all our new Oatlands families from the Oatlands PTA! 

Oatlands PTA is made up of parents and staff currently at Oatlands school.  When your child joins Oatlands your family automatically become members of the PTA community, working together to organise a whole range of events across the school year. The money we raise from these events goes directly to benefit our children, by making our lovely school an even better place to learn, make friends and enjoy the experience of being at Oatlands.

While our main focus is to raise funds for the school through our events; we also have a key role to play in bringing the school community together socially.  So, if you are new to Oatlands School or new to the Weybridge area, getting involved in the PTA will ensure that you meet lots or other Oatlands families and make some lifelong friends.  The highlight of the school year for parents is often the Spring Ball where we all get dressed up and party hard!  For the children, the Summer Funday, Sponsored Bounce and Dads & Kids Camping Weekend tend to feature in their top 3 annual school events however sometimes it's the termly bake sales, 2nd hand uniform sales or playground clean-up mornings that really show our community spirit and love for our school.   

Organising all these fun activities takes some doing so while every parent and carer at Oatlands is a member of the PTA, we do have a committee of key individuals who carry out specific roles and make the magic happen.  To find out more about the committee, please go to the main PTA website page by clicking here.  Alternatively, you might wish to volunteer as a Class Rep; representing the parents of the children in your child's class and ensuring positive communication on key aspects of school life, or you may simply put your hand up every now and then to help on a stall at the Funday or sell some raffle tickets.  Whatever you do it will be appreciated and will make a difference to the children at our school.  

If time is an issue but you still want to help you can opt to donate to the PTA on a monthly basis via our Standing Order Contribution scheme (Friends of Oatlands - FOS).  It is really easy and a great way of supporting the school financially while also enabling us to collect an additional 25% via the gift aid scheme.  For more information about setting up a FOS standing order, please click here.

We really hope that you will come along and get involved when you join the school. We normally hold PTA meetings every 6 weeks or so on a Tuesday in the evening in the school hall, and everyone is welcome whether or not you have a role on the committee! Every year we look forward to welcoming new faces and this year, although strange, is no different!
