Our Achievements

At Oatlands we encourage all children to fulfil their potential intellectually, physically, socially and emotionally. Our curriculum and pupil support is designed to achieve this aim. However at the end of Key Stage 1 when our pupils are 6/7 years old we are required to make a more formal assessment of their abilities. These outcomes are compared to pupil outcomes nationally. Follow this link to see the results for last year. We are very proud of what our children achieved.

Oatlands began to develop the values based approach in 2006 and over a period of 3 years explored every aspect of school life through a values view, including our Pastoral and PSHE Policies. During the whole time we worked closely with parents and the local community to extend and embed our values work. We achieved our values accreditation in September 2009. We have continued to deepen our understanding of values based education and achieved our re-accreditation in July 2013.

Oatlands has been visited by Ofsted a number of times including Summer 2000, Autumn 2006 and Spring 2010. At this Ofsted we were very proud to be graded Outstanding.

At Oatlands we encourage all children to lead a healthy lifestyle. Our Whole School Food, Pastoral, Health and Safety, SRE, PSHE, P.E Policies ensure we have an environment and curriculum which teaches children to have an over-all sense of health and well-being.

Oatlands holds the Bronze, Silver and Gold Healthy Schools Award. These have been achieved through engagement with a project identifying how to develop the health and well-being of the school community.
